Second time contest. Our first time. It was an easy choice since it's a quick 45 minute drive. Jonathan did a great job organizing, and Linda Mulane and John Busch were the KCBS reps (they always do a great job making sure things go smoothly and folks follow the rules). Another huge congrats to our friends Andy and Brett of Stoddard and Brown on their second grand championship in a row. More congrats to Brian Junkins and his crew on their hard-earned Reserve Grand!

First contest I have ever cooked where nobody was there Friday morning! A few hours later we were set up and ready to cook, right in the shadow of FedEx Field....or as us longtime Skins fans call it "The Cooker"
Smack in t he middle of a soccer field on the hottest day of the year! Chuck cooked up his new specialty....stuffed portabellos!

Joel and Chuck try and stay cool. Next door was a first time contestant. Local fellow cooked everything on this one cooker.
Brian sauces his ribs before passing out from the heat. ...but it didn't hurt him. Brian racked up 3 category places and Reserve Grand Champ status.
Andy and Brett have now cooked two contests, and won both. Nice job fellas.
