Back in our nation's capital again, but this time was different! This year the contest was sanctioned by KCBS on Saturday, and MIM on Sunday. The weather was pretty good again this year, and lots of people showed up to enjoy the weekend. With a 1st, 2nd and 4th we thought we had a chance at the grand championship, but our chicken did not score well pulling us down to 5th place overall. Big congrats goes out to Myron Mixon and Jacks Old South for putting together food that won them a grand championship trophy both days!!

Less than 2 weeks after the Washington Post article about Dizzy Pig printed, lots of folks who read the article stopped by to see us. Too bad we could not sell our rubs here! The crowds were large.
Doug Halo did a great job for his first time hosting a KCBS contest. Joel and Kenny and our site.
Was good having Kenny cook with us again. We had the whole crew minus John, who was sitting in the sun in Mexico. The Dizzy table.
Night time is the right time. Eggs smoking away in the morning.
Next door, Andy Stoddard and the new addition to his family! We saw this going down the road. Portable Tiki bar!

These are our 8th place MIM ribs. We took a 1st place for our KCBS ribs on Saturday! Our new friends drinking in style after chowing on some Dizzy Pig ribs.

Was a nice day for the Dizzy Pig crew. 3 happy guys! Bobby of Team BobbyQ came up from Atlanta and, while he is not showing it, he is real happy too! Nice job Bobby and Charlie.
