| Bill Small started this competition last year, and this year got full KCBS sanctioning and they put on an amazing contest. They definitely outdid themselves and with perfect weather it was a major success. To top it all off, Dizzy Pig pulled together their first grand championship in over a year. I am being totally honest when I say that it felt like the first time.
The Big Green Eggs cooked up a storm and held steady temps all night. Thanks to the Small family for providing Small Country Campground, and all the hospitality that comes with it! And to John and John who are some of my favorite KCBS reps. Oh yeah, thanks to the judges too. Especially the ones that got our ribs and brisket! A hearty congrats to Tom, Christy and the Virginia Pit Pirates on their reserve. Nice work yall.
