A few Raising The Steaks Testimonials:
I grilled up 2 steaks after receiving the Dizzy Sampler pack: one with Cow Lick and the other with the new Raising the Steaks. Cow Lick is superb, you can really taste the fresh ground peppers that gives it a good kick with out being overwhelming. Raising the Steaks is just plain awesome, not as peppery as Cow Lick but the spices come together absolutely perfectly in my humble opinion and make a great cut of steak like a ribeye even better! You can't go wrong with either but if you like it with a bit more heat, get Cow Lick, and for a milder yet still nice and spicy taste, get Raising the Steaks. Both blow away any Montreal Steak seasonings or other such products out there. Happy now that I've been spun!

Made last night on the small, indirect, 275° - 325° dome for 3 1/2 hours.
I didn't get to try any of the steak Sandbagger cooked at the Waldorf afterparty.
When I saw the short ribs at the store yesterday, I knew what I had to do!
Chris, Raising the Steaks is a hit at our house!
Thanks to all a DizzyPig, Mang!!!

I met Mike (and the rest of the DP North team) this past summer at the Cabelas competition here in Michigan. He gave me a bottle of "Raising the Steaks" to try and I have to tell you, it is by far the best steak seasoning I have ever had. Being that it is only available throught Mike at this point, I have to have it shipped to my friend in Windor Ontario.
Hopefully Chris will be able to produce and distribute this rub to everyone in the states. It would be a great addition to the lineup.
Live it up! Eric
Had some great efforts with dizzy pig's new rubs this weekend. ..
last night i had a flank steak, and didn't feel like marinading it. . . sprinkled on a pretty good dose of 'raising the steaks' (probably a little more than i should have as its pretty peppery). .. . then zapped the steak heavy with my jaccard. ...besides helping to tenderize the meat, it drove a lot of the rub right into the meat .. . .then just grilled it direct till it was medium rare in the center. .. .sliced it thin across the grain. . . meat was fabulous and the raising the steaks rub had worked its way into each slice thanks to the jaccard. .. . one of the better flank steaks i think i've ever made...both nights served with fresh corn and tomatoes. . ..
THANK YOU DIZZY BOYS FOR THESE RUBS. . ..REALLY GREAT STUFF
